Where are your jewellery made?
They are ethically sourced and sustainably made in Thailand.
Are your pieces real Sterling Silver?
Yes. All our pieces are real Sterling silver, made from recycled silver. Tips to check if your jewellery is real Sterling silver:
- Check for 925 stamps. Real Sterling silver should have '925', '.925', 'S925', etc. stamps.
- Use a magnet to test it. If it doesn't stick to the magnet then it is real.
Are your pieces Nickel and Lead free?
Yes. All of our pieces are Nickel and Lead free.
What is the material of your gold plated pieces?
Our gold pieces are plated with 24k gold. Most of our gold pieces are flash gold-plated (0.05 microns), except rings are 0.25 microns or more. As they are not 100% solid gold (hence the affordable price), they need extra care to maximise their colour. Avoid contact with perfume, water, chlorine, etc. to slow down the colour fading process. Additionally, please be aware that the areas that are exposed to more frictions (especially rings) tend to fade quicker and they will gradually fade back to silver. As each person cares for their jewellery differently, we do not offer guarantee on the gold colour lasting.
Are your Sterling silver jewellery water and tarnish-proof?
Our jewellery is water and tarnish-resistant. It is not true to say that Sterling Silver is tarnish-proof. Sterling Silver oxidises naturally. However, with the E-coat method, our pieces are safe to be in contact with water (such as shower water) for a certain period of time. Water will eventually oxidise Sterling Silver but it can be easily polished to get back its shininess. Sterling Silver comprises of 7.5% copper. I would not describe them as water & tarnish-proof. It is just the matter of time when the E-coat layer wears off. But again, they can be polished and look like new.
Chlorinated water (swimming pool water) and salt water (sea water) and other chemicals such as perfume, lotion, hair products, etc. are extremely corrosive to silver. We highly recommend that you take your jewellery off when getting into the pool or the ocean or get in contact with chemicals (especially with gold plated pieces as they won’t get their colour back). Good news is if you forget to take them off, they won't be instantly damaged. Just rinse them under clean water to remove the chemical on the surface of the pieces and pat dry. If they get tarnished, you can polish them using a Silver polishing cloth to get back their shine.
Is your jewellery hypoallergenic?
Generally, Sterling Silver is hypoallergenic due to the high silver content. However, some people might still have reactions to Sterling Silver if they have severe metal allergies.
Why are your pieces malleable?
The added 7.5% of copper makes Sterling silver stronger than pure silver. However, due to high silver content, Sterling Silver is still quite delicate. So don’t panic if you see your jewellery warped slightly (especially at the posts). You can use your fingers and gently reshape it.
